Green Lightning BC-10, BC-45, and HD are effective replacements for other brake cleaners that use toluene, benzene, and xylene which are harmful carcinogens. Green Lightning is flammable, but it is a cheaper alternative to Fluosolv.

Green Lightning BC-10

Green Lightning BC-10 is 10% VOC, so it is compliant in all 50 states. This includes California and Utah which have to follow strict regulations, such as Rule 1170 and SCAQMD. It offers superior degreasing power compared to its peers due to a proprietary solvent blend that outperforms the 90/10 Acetone blend found in many other 10% VOC brake cleaners.

Green Lightning BC-10 is a super active solvent blend that provides maximum performance in a brake parts cleaner without the use of chlorinated solvents. Its very powerful blasting spray easily removes brake fluid, grease, oily dirt, and contaminants from linings, pads and drums, cylinders, and springs without disassembling the brake unit. This special formula is also suitable for cleaning equipment, tools, and most metal parts. The following are its key features:

Green Lightning BC-45

Green Lightning BC-45 is 45% VOC, so it compliant with all other 48 states. It can still be sold in California and Utah, but you will need an exemption of some kind to allow for its use.

Green Lightning BC-45 is very similar to Green Lightning BC-10, but it cleans better and can be used as a general purpose cleaner. Green Lightning HD is a brake parts cleaner, but it is mainly used for general purpose degreasing. Green Lightning HD is heavy duty, 100% VOC, and the most effective. So if you have no regulations, then this is the product for you!

Green Lightning HD effectively and economically replaces nPB (n-Propyl Bromide) based solvents for a variety of general cleaning tasks including electrical and mechanical degreasing, critical hand wipe cleaning, and true, residue free, spot maintenance applications.
