Definition of Semiconductor Grade Chemicals

 

The “grade” of a chemical refers to its purity. 

Chemicals classified as “semiconductor grade” are considered highly pure, they can also be classified as “electronic grade”. These ultra-pure chemicals are commonly used in the electronics manufacturing industry to clean and prepare surfaces, minimizing the risk of contamination and damage to electronic parts by removing:

ACS reagent grade chemicals simply refer to chemicals that meet purity standards from the American Chemical Society’s requirements.
