Description
Biofilm Buster is a light yellow, alkaline solution that primarily consists of potassium dimethyldithiocarbamate (10%-25% by concentration). It removes biofilms and other debris from recirculating water systems such as cooling towers and air wash systems. Biofilm Buster works best in systems with a pH between 6 and 8.8, but it can be used in more alkaline solutions as well.

Biofilm Buster Applications:
- Biofilm Buster is a water treatment solution for recirculating water systems, including cooling towers and air wash systems.
- Systems must be cleansed of algae, microbial slime, and other accumulations with an EPA-registered cleaner, then drained and refilled with clean water, before using Biofilm Buster.
- Initially, Biofilm Buster should be used at a concentration of 30-60 ppm, or 3-6 fluid ounces per 1,000 gallons of water.
- After the initial dose, it should be used at a rate of 1-6 fluid ounces per 1,000 gallons.
- The maintenance dose’s frequency will vary depending on the amount of bleed-off and the system’s condition, but generally, it should be administered every 1-5 days.
- Administering Biofilm Buster by slug feed in one large dose is preferable to dispensing in smaller, intermittent doses.
