Description:

Glycol PM (also called Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether) is an evaporating solvent that works very fast. It has high water solubility and active solvency. This product is frequently used in coating and cleaning applications. An interesting fact about Glycol PM is that it can work in high solids acrylic systems.

Applications:

Usually used as a solvent-based for coatings. Also, as a coupling agent for water-based gravure, flexographic and silk screen printing inks. Additionally, this product is used as a solvent for agricultural pesticides such as deactivator and emollients for livestock pesticides. For cleaning formulations, Glycol PM works very well because of its fast evaporation, surface tension reduction, and low toxicity.

Safety & Handling:

Store in tightly closed, adequately vented containers. Try to keep the product away from heat, sparks, open flame or strong oxidizing agents. Handle empty containers carefully because the product is very flammable. Glycol PM can absorb water if exposed to air.

If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air immediately. If the individual is not breathing, give artificial respiration. If the symptoms continue, get medical attention.

If direct skin contact occurred, wash skin with soap and water. Seek medical attention if symptoms continue, or irritation develops. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wear protective gloves and protective clothing

If eye contact happened, flush your eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. If sticky, use a waterless cleaner first. Wear chemical goggles.

If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
