Description

Environmentally Preferred Dielectric Solvent

ELECTRON® - 55 Gallon Drum - 6850-01-375-5555

ELECTRON Description

ELECTRON® Environmentally Preferred Dielectric Solvent is an exceptional solvent degreaser formulated without chlorinated solvents or other hazardous ingredients. The base for ELECTRON is a unique high-grade oil distillate, which provides its dielectric strength, allowing it to be used safely on all types of electrical apparatus. With its high flash point, ELECTRON provides an unprecedented degree of user safety. ELECTRON Environmentally Preferred Dielectric Solvent is strong enough to remove grease, fuel oil, carbon and organic resins yet safe on most plastic and rubber surfaces. Unlike other solvents, ELECTRON can be used without extensive protective equipment. Common sense chemical precautions are required.

ELECTRON Benefits

  • Contains no water
  • Fully evaporative, leaves no residue
  • No hazardous ingredients as defined by the EPA.
  • Not a flammable liquid, (TCC Flash point above 145°F)
  • No surface leakage of current in immediate residue tests
  • Contains no OSHA PEL or ACGIH TLV listed ingredients
  • High dielectric strength, (ASTM D-877 test procedures to 46,000 volts)
  • No SARA or RCRA listed ingredients

ELECTRON Applications

Use undiluted. Spray or wipe ELECTRON on surface to be cleaned. Oil, dirt and carbon will flow off surface. If additional cleaning is required, wipe with rag or brush. Since ELECTRON does not dry as rapidly as 1,1,1 trichloroethane, apply a light spray first, allow 5 minutes to work, then follow with a light spray as a rinse, which will push out the now soluble soils. ELECTRON also works exceptionally well in filtered or unfiltered parts washers.

Safety and Handling Precautions

Precautionary measures: Contains hydrotreated distillate. Always use with adequate ventilation. Avoid vapors. May cause dizziness or headache. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure to unprotected skin. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes. Treat as combustible material. Keep container closed when not in use.

Consult safety data sheet and product label for more information.
