Quick Descaler - 55 Gallon Drum

Quick Descaler is a dark blue-purple, acidic solution whose principal ingredient is hydrochloric acid (20%-30% by concentration). It can be used to clean and descale boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, ice plants, and evaporators.

Quick Descaler Applications:

• Quick Descaler is a water treatment product that may be utilized in boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, ice plants, and evaporators to efficiently remove mineral scale.  
• For recirculating cooling water systems, 0.5-1.0 gallons of Quick Descaler should be used per 100 gallons of water.  
• The pH must be kept below 3 until the recirculating water system has been completely descaled. It can then be flushed and rinsed.  
• For boilers, 1-2 gallons of Quick Descaler should be used per 100 gallons of water. The system can be heated with the manhole at the top of the boiler open to promote circulation without boiling.  
• Heat can be added with the top manhole of the boiler open to stimulate circulation without boiling.
• The pH should be kept below 3 until the boiler has been completely descaled. Then, the heat can be turned off, and the boiler can be emptied and washed.
